Sometimes I like to drop the lowest grade for my students...or I may not make up a test when a student has been absent. When I leave a space blank on the grade book, it is calculated as a zero percent and brings the final grade down to failing. How can I prevent this from happening?

I am not getting the same behavior, if you delete all contents in a cell, it won't be used in any calculations as a zero. only if it is a zero inputed. Maybe some more information so we can exactly duplicate how your doing it.
