I am ready to pull my hair apart in frustration. Everytime I create borders to my selection in the table, specify style, line width, colours etc. and then when I click elsewhere on the sheet, the border invariably disappears. I am not able to make the border permanent. What am I missing here? Need help please.

I just downloaded the trial version of Numbers '09 a few days ago and had the same problem you mention with the borders. I found a video online that showed exactly how to do it and I realized that the final step is to click on the border color and voila! it stayed when I clicked somewhere else on the sheet. The way I did it was to go to View > Show Inspector and in the Inspector box where it says Cell Borders, selected the type of border, line size, etc. Then click the box next to the line size and it will bring up the border color selector. Select the color for the border and it should work. I'm still playing with this and there may be an easier way, but I do know this way works. |
