Hi there folks. I'm a relatively new iworks user, and have used Numbers and Works to create and save documents/files etc. I'd like to delete some of these as they no longer are needed, but cannot find them. This was easy on PC, and probably easy on Mac. I need help please and thanks

if your looking for a "numbers document", use the "Find" command under the File menu from the Finder (have a "finder window" open and active on the screen so that you see "Finder" on the menu item next to the apple logo in the top left corner.) From the drop down you see, select "Kind", from the next drop down that appears select "Other". Now type "Numbers Document" and hit enter. This will list all files of numbers type.

When you select one fo the files, the bottom area of teh window will show you the path to follow to find it. You can also right click or use the gear button to "open enclosing folder".

I was able to get this name to type by getting "info" about a numbers document that I saved to the desktop. Next to "Kind" in that dialog, is what you need to type in for "kind". i.e. you can use this method for almost any filetype.

Hope this helps, Jason

Bob,
Your looking one menu over. :)
Look under the File menu when the finder is active. Your on the right path, as you do see "Finder" as a menu item.

Thx again, but I must be jinxed, or dumb. Dialog box opens, then "file","kind", but when I select"other" a dropdown comes asking for "search attributes". Typing "Numbers Document" into search box (upper right w/magnifying glass gives me nothing. I'm doing something else wrong here, right?? Bob – Bob Saniszlo Dec 14 at 18:33
